The Track & Trace Specialist is responsible for monitoring and managing shipments in real time, ensuring timely and accurate delivery from pickup through final destination. This role serves as a critical communication link between drivers, carriers, and customers, proactively addressing delays and maintaining visibility across all shipments.Success in this fast-paced environment requires strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Shipment Monitoring: Track freight from pickup to delivery using fleet tracking software. Proactively communicate with drivers to ensure continuous movement and address unexpected stops. Perform check calls during non-dispatch hours.
- Proactive Communication: Provide timely updates to customers and internal teams regarding shipment status, delays, or exceptions. Respond with urgency to service disruptions by escalating issues, contacting appropriate authorities when necessary, and reporting last known locations.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately update shipment details and track events in Trinium (TMS) to ensure real-time visibility and compliance.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues such as delays, missing documentation, or service failures. Troubleshoot effectively to minimize disruption and maintain service levels.
- Systems Experience: Proficiency with Trinium (TMS) required.
- Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of transportation, freight operations, or supply chain processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage high-touch customer interactions.
- Organizational Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
