A Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers. S/he will translate design concepts into precise blueprints, layouts, and models used for construction, manufacturing, or installation.Draftsmen ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and proper documentation of drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings, blueprints, and schematics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp)
- Interpret architectural, engineering, and design specifications into technical plans
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback or design changes
- Maintain accuracy, scale, and dimension consistency in all drawings
- Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and company requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to finalize designs
- Maintain organized files, documentation, and drawing records for easy retrieval
- Assist in site measurements, surveys, or inspections when required
- Graduate of Drafting Technology, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Draftsman or in a similar role
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD design software; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or SolidWorks is an advantage
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, symbols, and conventions
- Ability to interpret and create blueprints, schematics, and construction plans in commercial, kiosk, cart, In-line design.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines
