Directly reporting to the CS WEBSITE AND PROCESS CHANGE MANAGER as its functional head under the GSPH governance. The CS TECHNICAL WRITER is to bridge the gap between complex technical information and its understanding by a diverse audience. Technical writers serve as communicators, translating intricate technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible documentation.Their primary aim is to empower users, whether they are end-users, developers, or other stakeholders, by providing them with accurate and easily understandable instructions and guides. By fulfilling this purpose, technical writers facilitate the effective use of products, services, or processes, ultimately contributing to the success of projects and the satisfaction of users.
The role will involve project-related tasks as well as any additional assignments required by the department.
Main job responsibilities and accountabilities:- Technical Writing
▪ Receive training in GlobalSign products and services, demonstrate the ability to write technical support articles in all areas with support from Senior Technical Support team.
▪ Create, proofread, and edit web contents on the GlobalSign support website (https://support.globalsign.com/) and manage its life cycle by administering the CMS: Concrete5.▪ AI articles – creating and maintaining “AI friendly” articles for use with “Helana”/AI Agent and new chat platform. Training others in the art of AI related article content.
▪ Monitor the behaviour of the GlobalSign support website and generate detailed reports using Google Analytics.
▪ Familiarise GlobalSign products and read recent changes from the CA/Browser Forum and CA Security Council.
▪ Create, proofread, and edit technical references for the support team and post them on the Confluence
▪ Maintain the support website team homepage in the Confluence
▪ Manage the Kanban dashboard (JIRA) of the support website.
▪ Write email communication for updates on the support website and other announcements.
- Collaboration & Coordination
▪ Work cross-functionally and diplomatically with other departments to build and nurture relationships with the many business functions of GlobalSign, primarily with Client Services Technical Support, Client Services Operations, Marketing, Development, Infrastructure, Product Management, and Compliance.
▪ Collaborate and liaise with the Client Services Operations team when it comes to product changes and projects.▪ Attend the senior technical support meetings on a weekly basis, where you will be asked to discuss your project work status and any questions or issues you have noticed or that have been reported to you.
▪ Attend product planning meetings led by the Product Management , Client Services Management, etc. when invited.
▪ Lead the support website catchup meeting every week to provide updates on the projects and other tasks assigned.
▪ Prepare discussion points for scheduled meetings such as 121s, senior technical support meetings, e.g., project updates, and solutions for any problems encountered.
▪ Work alongside different stakeholders to develop support articles.
▪ Work alongside different stakeholders to work on support website projects.
▪ Work on GlobalSign Channel Audits with stakeholders to improve consistency and ensure the technical accuracy and relevance of the support articles.
- Project Management
▪ Create, execute, and maintain project plans within the established timeline and budget.
▪ Manage dependencies across concurrent projects; liaise with project stakeholders working in different time zones.▪ Gather data about project progress; utilize statistics from Google Analytics and Salesforce for business proposals.
▪ Identify challenges and adapt necessary changes to improve project implementation.
▪ Track the project life cycle using the Gantt chart, record project hours, and add project updates in JIRA and Confluence.
Qualifications/Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree preferably major in Computer Science or Communications
- Proven working experience in technical writing.
- Understands and possesses expertise in ×509 certification, trusted CA PKI, and surrounding technologies and protocols.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the internet environment. Experience using version control systems, authoring tools, markdown and related technologies.
- Candidate with basic understanding of Google Analytics, HTML and SEO will be preferred
- At least 2–3 years of strong technical background. Advantage: Software Engineering and Testing Experience.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work in a hybrid setup, reporting onsite at least three times a week to our Makati office
