The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience working with server infrastructure and a solid understanding of vulnerability management, system updates, and proactive maintenance.

• Monitor and respond to alerts generated through RMM, monitoring, and security platforms.
• Perform patch management activities across client Windows Server and desktop environments.
• Review, test, schedule, and deploy operating system and third-party application updates.
• Remediate identified vulnerabilities and ensure systems remain secure and compliant.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patching, performance, and system health.
• Carry out proactive maintenance tasks on servers, desktops, and related infrastructure.
• Investigate failed patches, update errors, and recurring alerts, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of remediation activities, patch schedules, and incident outcomes.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers where required.
• Work closely with the service desk and other technical teams to ensure timely resolution of client issues.
• Assist with improvement of patching standards, monitoring thresholds, and operational procedures.
• Support managed service clients in line with SLAs, best practices, and internal processes.

• 3–5 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, or managed services.
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Windows desktop environments.
• Good understanding of patch management processes and best practices.
• Experience with vulnerability remediation and security update management.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting platforms used in managed services.
• Experience troubleshooting server and desktop operating system issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 is desirable.
• Understanding of endpoint management and remote monitoring tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple client environments effectively.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working within an MSP environment.
• Exposure to RMM, PSA, patching, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Relevant Microsoft or infrastructure certifications are desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work shifts aligned with Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) or Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals are highly regarded.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Effective time management with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
• Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn from senior engineers.
• High attention to detail, particularly in technical documentation.
• Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced MSP environment.
