Civil Design Engineer
Job Description
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Has at least three years of experience in civil design, such as with steel structures or concrete structures (foundations and buildings).
Preferably with basic knowledge of substation and transmission line projects
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel or comparable programs, AutoCAD, Staad Pro MS Tower (or other structural analysis software)
Knowledgeable of both American and Philippine building codes and National Structural Codes of the Phils.
Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be highly organized, innovative, and reliable
Good command of the English language.
Positive attitude and motivation for continuous learning
Job responsibilities
Civil Design Work Scope: Civil General and Vertical Layout of the Project; Earthworks, including slope protection and retaining walls; Foundation and Structure Design of Buildings and Other Structures; Drainage System of the Site and Building, the output includes the calculations, software models, and drawings.
- Carries the daily works by the instruction from direct Manager.
- Familiarize with the civil standard or code in both the Philippines and American.
- Use the software Staad Pro MS Tower (or other structural analysis software) to model and analyze the structures following the Philippine and American codes.
- Read the Geotechnical report and get key information for the foundation and structure design.
- Read the Architectural drawings; from the drawings, know the requirements of the Architect.
- Accomplish a single structure (either a building or a steel structure) independently. From the model analysis, the accomplishments of a Civil Designer should contain the following:
- Structural drawing (AutoCAD);
- Structural Calculation;
- Software model.
