DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- At least 5 years of experience as Occupational Health Physician, preferably in a railway or construction project.
- A member (in good standing) of the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine, preferably a Diplomate.
- Provide direction to management on compliance to health-related policies under the Philippine law (DOLE DO 198).
- Has a good grasp of Rule 1960 of the OSH Standards.
- Able to create DOLE-mandated and other relevant health programs.
- Knowledgeable in filing DOLE-mandated reports.
- Recommend policies and/or refinement on health-related matters to management.
- Oversee procurement of medical supplies and clinic operations for the delivery of basic medical services to employees and workers.
- Handle health and wellness programs as well as services.
- Responsible for the periodic health examination assessment of employees and assist the HR in its execution.
- Implement health education and promote wellness initiatives in the workplace.
- Knowledge and Certification on COSH.
- Knowledge and Certification on Industrial Hygiene is a plus.
- Perform credential review of accredited service providers to ensure that quality services are rendered to employees.
- Conduct assessments of company health care service providers.
- Submit periodic reports as may be required by the company for risk and audit compliance.
- Ensure that all workers are well-informed on health and safety policies and procedures as well as company policies and regulations.
- Able to create health info graphics on a monthly basis.
- Conducts health teaching to employees on a monthly basis and to the site workers every 1 to 2 weeks or as directed.
- Conducts walkthrough inspection of all work areas.
- Willing to be assigned occasionally in the depot office in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan.
- Oversee occupational health nurse/s in performing appropriate and timely interventions such as but not limited to basic physical exams, assessing patient and administering medication.
- Enforce discipline and proper behavioral traits to subordinates, maintaining a fair, consistent, and non-prejudicial approach.
- Perform other related tasks and duties that may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical Diploma from a respected medical school.
- Latest Curriculum Vitae.
- Basic Course on Occupational Medicine Certificate of Completion.
- Advance Course on Occupational Medicine Certificate of Completion if applicable.
- Certificate of Good Standing from the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (date of issuance not more than 1 month).
- Updated license to practice as physician from the Professional Regulation Commission.
- Certificates of relevant trainings, if any.
