Job Description:
- Performs detailed basic to complex PV system design.
- In charge of detailed design deliverables such as array layout, master plan, sheet sets, shading analysis, PV-inverter sizing, ballast and
- Regularly interacts with Design Engineer colleagues, Estimators and Team Lead for closed loop learning and design process alignment
- Adhere and maintain guideline and standard in accomplishing design request or as instructed
- Perform individual and or buddy check for IQA Review Process prior to sending request
- Perform IQA review and checking for all Design Engineers, in the absence of SME.
- Attend necessary meetings like burst meeting, DE Review, alignment meeting etc.
- Learn and adopt the advanced solar design guidelines specific to a particular product and region.
- Complies the Environment, Health and Safety and Company Quality standards, rules, and regulations
- Performs cross‐functional support and other duties may be assigned by the Team lead or Manager.
They typically work on with other design engineers and estimators and often interact with stakeholders or customers to discuss the design requirement. They must also be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for daily designing and engineering activities. He/She performs Array Layout Design, PV Inverter sizing, Ballast and Anchor calculation and Performance Shading Analysis. He/She provides design guidance to his team and leads projects of moderate difficulty.Regularly collaborate with Design Center Colleague, Team Lead & Manager for process alignment, improvement, and close-loop learning.
Qualification:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, any Engineering equivalent or Architecture)
- At least 3-4years of experience in drafting and engineering design environment
- With good understanding on engineering drawing and detailing
- Proficient in advanced SalesForce operations
- Proficiency in Design Software (AutoCAD)
- Proficient in PV Specific Design Tools basic operation (such as Aurora, Helioscope, PVsyst etc.) is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills
- Can work with less supervision and has a keen on details
- Willing to work on quick turnaround design environment
- Ability to work nightshift and render overtime when necessary.
