Senior Mainframe DevOps Engineer - Manila

About the Role

Clicktek Consulting Inc. is hiring a Senior Mainframe DevOps Engineer to modernize Carnival’s IBM z/OS reservation platform. You will migrate legacy SCLM builds to Git/DBB, weave mainframe assets into AWS, automate everything from certificate rotation to container deployments, and support US‑aligned mid‑shift operations.

What You’ll Do

• Replace SCLM/Endevor with Git and DBB, preserving history and refactoring build scripts.
• Design and maintain end‑to‑end Jenkins pipelines (Groovy scripted and declarative) for both COBOL and Java micro‑services.

• Expose CICS transactions through z/OS Connect and integrate with AWS services such as ECS, EKS, and Lambda.
• Codify infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Eliminate manual tasks with Groovy, Python, Bash, and JCL.
• Embed SonarQube, Snyk, and automated certificate lifecycles into the pipeline.

• Implement Splunk, Dynatrace, and CloudWatch dashboards for logs and metrics.
• Act as L3 responder for build, pipeline, and deployment failures, analysing RMF/SMF data when needed.

• Produce detailed runbooks, IaC repositories, and onboarding guides to ensure repeatability and knowledge transfer.

• 7 + years in mainframe engineering (COBOL, JCL, z/OS 3270) with 3 + years focused on DevOps.
• Proven migration from SCLM or Endevor to Git/DBB.
• Expert‑level Jenkins pipeline design.
• Strong Terraform or CloudFormation skills.
• Hands‑on Docker plus Amazon ECS, EKS, and Lambda.
• Scripting proficiency in Groovy and Python.
• Experience with z/OS Connect, CICS Web Services, or similar API enablement.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tooling (SonarQube, Snyk, Akamai, Vault).
• Excellent written and spoken English for US stakeholders.

• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect certification.
• Prior Dependency‑Based Build (DBB) expertise.
• Experience modernising travel or booking platforms.
• Background in mainframe systems programming (SMP/E, RACF, WLM).
