Job Summary: You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting software and possess excellent communication skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  1. Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approval.
  2. Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
  3. Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  4. Prepare and process electronic payments and checks in a timely manner.
  5. Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure all necessary documentation is on file.
  6. Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment inquiries.
  7. Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
  8. Support audit requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  9. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices within the AP function.
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant financial regulations.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Experience with accounting software, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
