Security Training Supervisor

Position Summary

The Security Training Supervisor is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all training programs for security personnel within the organization. This role ensures that all security guards and personnel are properly trained, certified, and compliant with Philippine security industry standards, company policies, and client requirements.

The position plays a key role in enhancing the operational readiness, discipline, professionalism, and effectiveness of the security workforce.

1. Training Development & Implementation

• Design and implement basic, refresher, and specialized security training programs.
• Develop training modules in accordance with PSA (Philippine Security Agency) standards and client requirements.
• Conduct orientation programs for newly hired security guards.
• Facilitate mandatory trainings such as security operations, emergency response, customer service, and report writing.

1. Skills Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct pre-training and post-training assessments of security personnel.
• Evaluate trainee performance and recommend certification, retraining, or disciplinary action if necessary.
• Maintain accurate training records and competency matrices of all guards.

1. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

• Ensure all training programs comply with PNP-SOSIA (Philippine National Police – Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies) requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies for licensing, renewals, and required certifications.
• Monitor compliance with client-specific training standards.

1. Supervision & Leadership

• Supervise training officers, instructors, and support staff.
• Assign training schedules and monitor delivery of instruction.
• Ensure discipline, punctuality, and professionalism during training sessions.

1. Field Coordination & Operations Support

• Conduct site visits to evaluate deployed guards' performance and identify training gaps.
• Coordinate with Operations for manpower readiness and skill alignment.
• Assist in addressing client complaints related to guard performance through retraining programs.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare training reports, attendance logs, evaluation summaries, and incident reports.
• Submit monthly training accomplishment reports to management.
• Maintain updated training manuals and SOPs.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Recommend improvements in training methodologies and security protocols.
• Stay updated with industry trends, security technologies, and best practices.
• Introduce innovative training methods such as simulation exercises and scenario-based learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Education, Human Resource Management, or related field.

• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in security operations or training within a security agency.
• Prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.

• Licensed Security Officer
• Certified Security Professional
• Other training certification from accredited security or law enforcement institutions is an advantage.

• Strong leadership and classroom facilitation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Philippine security laws and PNP-SOSIA regulations
• Ability to handle disciplinary cases professionally
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• High level of integrity, discipline, and attention to detail
• Ability to train diverse groups of security personnel

• Office-based with frequent field/site inspections
• May require weekend or shift-based training schedules
• Exposure to operational security environments
