Safety Officer 2

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and job hazard analysis (JHA).
• Develop, implement, and review site-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Inspect equipment, tools, and work areas to identify hazards and recommend solutions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.
• Ensure all workers have proper PPE and that it is used correctly.
• Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safety practices are integrated into operations.
• Submit reports to management and regulatory authorities as required (e.g., DOLE, PCAB).
• Facilitate safety training and orientation for new workers and contractors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field.
• Valid Construction Safety and Health (COSH) certificate from DOLE-accredited training provider.
• Preferably with BOSH or additional safety training certifications.
• At least 1–3 years of experience in construction safety.
• Familiarity with Philippine laws and regulations on construction safety (e.g., DOLE D.O. 13, OSH Law).
• Strong communication, leadership, and observation skills.
