Job Summary:
The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of company vehicles to ensure safe and efficient transport of goods and personnel. This role plays a critical part in supporting Exxel Prime Int’l Trading Inc.’s operations, especially in the timely delivery of ORO Socks and OMG Cosmetics across retail and distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspections on company vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues such as engine, brake, electrical, and transmission problems
- Conduct routine oil changes, tire rotations, and battery checks
- Maintain records of vehicle repairs, services, and parts replacements
- Coordinate with suppliers for parts purchasing and price comparisons
- Ensure roadworthiness of vehicles before dispatch
- Assist in emergency repairs or road service when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop area
- Adhere to safety protocols and standard mechanical procedures
- Recommend improvements for fleet maintenance schedules
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Automotive Servicing or any related vocational/technical course
- With at least 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic (diesel and/or gasoline units)
- Familiar with maintenance of delivery vans, motorcycles, and light trucks
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools and automotive equipment
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Organized, honest, and dependable
- Must have a valid Professional Driver’s License (Restriction 1, 2, and 3 preferred)
- Willing to work on-site in Baesa, Caloocan City
