[ref. a03692617] UK Accountant (Permanent WFH) - Manila

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with proven experience in UK accounting standards and understanding of management information reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant regulations, and delivering insightful data to support our decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP or FRS 102.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile key accounts.
• Develop and produce monthly/quarterly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Provide financial insights and MI reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a UK-focused accounting role.
• Some experience in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Good excel skills and confidence working with financial models and data.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Must have a stable internet connection for a work-from-home arrangement. The designated work area must be in a private room, separate from shared spaces used by other household members.

Desirable:

• Experience in a small to mid-sized business or fast-growing company.
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms including Fathom
