Supplier and Product Specialist

Responsible for managing product sourcing, supplier relationships, procurement processes, and ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of materials or products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Management
- Identify and evaluate products based on company needs and market demand
- Conduct product research, comparison, and benchmarking
- Monitor product performance, pricing, and availability
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, sales, engineering) for product requirements
- Supplier Sourcing & Management
- Source, screen, and accredit new suppliers (local and international)
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts
- Evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery, reliability)
- Procurement & Purchasing
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure accuracy of specifications
- Monitor order status and delivery schedules
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality
- Handle supplier quotations and bid comparisons
- Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet company and regulatory standards
- Coordinate inspections and quality checks
- Address product issues, defects, and supplier concerns
- Inventory & Coordination
- Work with warehouse and logistics teams for stock planning
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or overstocking
- Assist in demand forecasting and supply planning
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain supplier database and product records
- Prepare reports on procurement, supplier performance, and cost savings
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance
