SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job Summary

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in electrical systems, experience with test automation, and a background in power electronics or embedded systems.

• Develop detailed test plans and validation strategies based on product requirements, standards, and use cases.
• Conduct hands-on testing including performance, environmental, functional, and safety validation on prototypes and pre-production units.
• Support product lifecycle testing including reliability, thermal cycling, salt spray, ingress protection, etc.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure test coverage is aligned with product specifications.
• Identify root causes of failures through data analysis, failure investigation, and collaboration with the third-party manufacturers.
• Prepare comprehensive test reports and clearly communicate results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Interface with third-party labs for regulatory and certification testing (UL, CE, ETL, etc.).
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure test setups meet safety and accuracy standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of validation processes, tools, and documentation.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.

II. Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of hands on experience in product validation or test engineering, ideally in high-power or electro-mechanical products.

III. Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO, MIL-STD).
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, environmental chambers, and data acquisition systems.
• Proven ability to write and execute test plans, analyze results, and troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple validation projects with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for testing, audits, or supplier engagement.
• Familiarity with validation in regulated environments (e.g., automotive, industrial, medical) is a plus.
• Experience with EV chargers, power conversion systems, or embedded software integration is a plus.
