Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer to support project estimation, cost control, and billing across construction projects. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and progress billing, who can ensure accurate costing and financial control from bidding to project completion.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct site inspections to assess project scope, conditions, and feasibility.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Develop project field budgets based on plans and specifications.
• Update estimates based on design or scope changes.

• Track actual quantities, material usage, and project costs vs approved budgets.
• Identify cost variances and report potential overruns.
• Coordinate with procurement and accounting for cost tracking and alignment.
• Maintain organized and updated cost and quantity records.

• Review and verify contractor progress billings based on actual accomplishments.
• Prepare and process variation orders for scope and quantity changes.
• Ensure all billings and variations are properly documented and approved.
• Support accurate and timely project financial reporting.

• Licensed Civil Engineer
• At least 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying / Cost Engineering
• Strong experience in:
• BOQ preparation
• Quantity take-offs
• Progress billing and variation orders
• Knowledge of construction cost control and project budgeting.
• Experience in government procurement and billing is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; field reporting and basic systems knowledge.
