Construction Project Manager

Company Overview:We are a growing construction company focused on high-quality project delivery through lean and efficient systems. We are building a remote operations team to support our expanding field operations and improve overall project performance.
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Construction Project Manager to handle all off-site execution. This role serves as the operational backbone of projects—managing financials, coordination, documentation, and communication to support field teams and ensure successful delivery.

- QuickBooks (job costing & accounting)
- QuickBooks Time (TSheets)
- Excel / Google Sheets
- Google Drive / Microsoft Office
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Job Costing- Manage job costing and financial tracking in QuickBooks
- Code invoices and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts
- Track budget vs. actuals and manage change orders
- Generate financial reports and projections
- Monitor and audit time tracking using QuickBooks Time
- Ensure accurate job coding and payroll readiness
- Coordinate with field teams to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain project schedules and 3-week lookaheads
- Track progress and coordinate sequencing of work
- Solicit bids and onboard subcontractors
- Issue contracts and ensure compliance
- Assist with bidding, permits, utilities, and project setup
- Coordinate approvals with stakeholders
- Maintain organized file systems and documentation
- Track RFIs, submittals, plans, and revisions
- Coordinate daily with field teams
- Track deliveries, logs, and outstanding items
- Provide regular updates and support meetings
- Maintain strong client relationships
- Manage punch lists and project closeout documentation
- Track warranties and final deliverables
- Build and improve systems using Excel/Google Sheets
- Identify automation opportunities (e.g., Zapier, AI tools)
- Improve workflows and operational efficiency
- Assist with insurance-related projects and documentation
- Support estimating workflows and learn Xactimate (preferred)
Qualifications:
- 4–8+ years of construction project management experience
- Strong experience with QuickBooks job costing
- Experience with QuickBooks Time or similar tools
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working remotely with U.S.-based construction teams
- Residential or light commercial construction experience
- Familiarity with permits and HOA processes
- Experience with Xactimate
