Production Supervisor

Job Description:

• Plan, direct and coordinate scheduling and production activities of the organization based on sales demand to achieve quality products completely and on time.
• Use the appropriate template and spreadsheets to prepare the detailed deployment plan or DWA based on LBS and MPS.
• Work with Team Leaders to determine factors behind productivity and quality failure, and develop and implement action plans to avoid future occurrences. Conduct daily toolbox meeting with leaders and workers for the day's target output, for completion and closure including those for rework based on QC report.
• Coordinates to Production Planning and Control section on production scheduling and material planning
• Daily reconciliation of the FPO for completion with PPIC and Warehouse to ensure scheduled for delivery are met.
• Ensure that each section’s KPI is attained, monitors performance, and implements action plans
• Plans are designed to be met. Monitor output every hour based on item process time.
• Schedules production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints
• Check production order for completeness of information such as set back materials requirement date and production start date, using allowance for operations and lead times.
• Account unused, excess or defective materials and process accordingly. Be on guard on labor and material costing (within the set standard time and consumption)
• Lead all subordinates in establishing a work plan and staffing for each phase of the project or program
• Coordinate with equipment and process teams and ensure compliance to all protocols and maintain product quality.
• Review reports prepared by Team leaders and modify schedules, or shifts/increase resources, in order to reach target completion dates. Reports such as WIP, Consolidated daily output, QC report and related vs MPS or Master Production Schedule that has the pending order, SL and daily average planned output
• Process Review and Special Audit Investigation
• Conduct process review with Manager. See room for improvement, set meeting with concerned Department for alignment and brainstorming. Proposed the agreed improvement to authorities
• Discuss review results and Corrective Actions with Manager
• Conduct special audit investigation
• Attend Quality Circle meeting with other Department
• Performs counseling
• Conduct daily Audit of the area if proper procedures are being followed
• Update documented procedure as needed
• Interview and recommend hiring of applicants for vacancies within the department
• Recommend disciplinary Action based on counseling and NTE
• Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives.
• Provide leadership and drives improvements. Periodically checks on the shop floor/ makes rounds to ensure all is going well, which includes that of foreman (directly responsible for the actions of foreman).
• Ensures that the team and team leader are meeting and exceeding performance standards in terms of (a) efficiency and productivity, (b) morale and values, (c) safety and health
• Direct link that coordinates management and the work team and they help in developing the following aspects

Qualifications:

• College graduate preferably on Engineering or the equivalent
• ISO Training an advantage
• Keen on details, Customer Service Satisfaction (QA skills an advantage)
• Above average mathematical skills. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions
• Team Player/Builder with good interpersonal relationship skill
• Proficient on computer applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Firm, Neutral and with good leadership towards co worker.
