Estimators shall collect and analyze data to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacture and construct our products. Estimators shall review drawings and formulate project scopes of work, formulate RFIs, communicate and clarify scope with clients, conduct take-offs and prepare bid and client proposals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements
• Prepares construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs
• Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials
• Maintains cost keys and price master's by updating information
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards
• Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

• BS / BA in Engineering, construction or relevant discipline a plus
• Proven experience as an Estimator or similar position
• Must have experience in railing system and curtain walls.
• Proficient in relevant take-off software (Bluebeam, Planswift, AutoCAD, etc., is a plus) Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to details and excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines
