About the role

The Administrative Officer (Accountant) is a full-time role based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Administrative Officer (Accountant) to join our Secretariat.

This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial management and supporting the administrative functions necessary for the efficient operations of the organization.

What you'll be doing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare periodic financial reports, budgets, and financial analyses to support decision-making
  • Assist in the processing of annual permits and ensure compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements
  • Provide administrative support such as document organization, data encoding, and records management within the Secretariat
  • Coordinate with the internal team and external partners to resolve financial inquiries and administrative concerns in a timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvements in accounting and administrative systems to enhance operational efficiency
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or enrollment in a CPA program is an advantage but not required
  • Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance; experience in the non-profit or education sector is a plus
  • Proficient in accounting systems, spreadsheet software, and other financial management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across various stakeholders
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
