We are growing rapidly and are looking for a highly skilled Remote Bookkeeper who thrives in a fast-paced, systems-driven environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records for multiple small business clients. This role requires strong experience with cloud-based accounting systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

This is not a basic data-entry role—we are looking for someone who understands financial accuracy, clean books, and how bookkeeping impacts tax strategy and business decisions.

This position requires availability during U.S. business hours to ensure effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage bookkeeping for multiple client accounts (monthly/weekly cadence)
  • Maintain accurate financial records (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Perform bank, credit card, and payment processor reconciliations
  • Categorise transactions and ensure proper chart of accounts structure
  • Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare reports for internal advisors and tax professionals
  • Collaborate with tax preparers, financial advisors, and operations team
  • Maintain documentation and audit-ready financials
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (multi-client experience preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Excel / Google Sheets
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is required for this role.
  • Experience with payment platforms (e.g., Stripe, Square, PayPal)
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Financial statements
  • Accrual vs. cash accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Previous experience working with U.S.-based small businesses is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with U.S.-based small businesses
  • Familiarity with:
  • QuickBooks Online integrations
  • Shopify, Stripe, or POS systems
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up work
  • Experience supporting tax preparation workflows
  • Understanding of merchant processing and fee structures (a plus)
