Manual Software QA Intern
Role Description
Skubbs is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Manual Software QA Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. As a QA Intern, you will work under the guidance of the QA Lead and gain hands-on experience testing web and mobile applications.
This internship is ideal for students who are eager to learn software testing, understand how software is developed, and build practical experience using industry-standard QA practices. In addition to manual testing, interns will be introduced to automation testing concepts and have opportunities to learn and assist with automation testing activities as part of their development.
You will collaborate with the QA team and Developers to help ensure our products meet quality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the QA Lead and provide regular updates on assigned tasks and testing progress.
- Execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Assist in functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate implemented features against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and report software defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Verify resolved defects through retesting.
- Assist in creating and maintaining test cases, test scenarios, checklists, and test data.
- Collaborate with the QA Lead and Developers to understand features and testing requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives when required.
- Assist in preparing QA documentation and test reports.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Learn the fundamentals of automation testing and assist in creating or maintaining automated test scripts under the guidance of the QA Lead.
- Help ensure software quality before product releases.
- Continuously learn QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and QA tools.
- Basic understanding of Agile or Scrum.
