Banquet Captain Waiter

Job Summary:

To supervise and guide the service team in delivering Food & Beverage to guests in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner within the assigned banquet area or event venue. Ensures service is aligned with established standards of performance and productivity across all Events and Banquet functions to enhance guest satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervises and ensures the smooth execution of banquet functions according to the host’s requirements, including setup, layout, and equipment readiness.
• Assigns tasks to team members, monitors performance, and ensures adherence to service standards and hotel policies.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings and handles guest inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Promotes a professional image through proper grooming, punctuality, and consistent compliance with hygiene, safety, and conduct standards.
• Fosters teamwork and communication across departments, supports training initiatives, and performs additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is required
• At least 2–3 years of experience in banquet or restaurant service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to delegate tasks and manage a team effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and coordinate with different departments
• Thorough knowledge of banquet service standards, food and beverage products, and event operations
• Detail-oriented with the ability to anticipate guest needs and ensure smooth function flow
• Flexible with schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Physically fit, with the ability to stand for long periods and carry service trays or equipment when needed
