Financial Accountant

Responsible for managing statutory audit requirements and supporting financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The role involves coordinating with auditors and cross-functional finance teams, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving process improvements across accounting and reporting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support statutory and tax audits, including planning, documentation, and timeline management
• Act as the main point of contact for external auditors on audit requirements and deliverables
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of audit reports and financial documentation
• Reconcile and analyze differences between statutory and IFRS reporting
• Manage month-end close processes, including P&L ownership, balance sheet analysis, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review accounting entries in compliance with applicable standards
• Maintain organized financial records, working papers, and documentation
• Collaborate with finance teams (e.g., AR/AP) to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Perform balance sheet reviews and validate supporting schedules
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting quality
• Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting financial reporting
• Address stakeholder queries and provide financial insights as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required; additional certifications (e.g., CFA, CMA) are an advantage
• 6–7 years of experience in statutory audit, financial reporting, or accounting, with management reporting exposure
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
