Application Support (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
The Application Support role involves managing and supporting business-critical BTI Platform applications to ensure seamless performance, availability, and reliability. The candidate will handle incident management, troubleshooting, and system performance monitoring, ensuring applications meet the organization’s business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Support
- Monitor and maintain application systems, ensuring uptime and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application-related incidents in a timely manner.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Manage service tickets and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Operational Tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance, including updates, patches, and configurations.
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting tools.
- Ensure proper backup and recovery processes are in place and functioning.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor application performance and resource usage using monitoring tools.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
- Collaboration and Documentation
- Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to support application releases and deployments.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and incident resolutions.
- Security and Compliance
- Ensure applications comply with security policies and standards.
- Respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Familiarity with databases (SQL).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical teams.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in application support or a related role.
Work Environment:
- On-call support for critical applications.
- 24x7 Rotational shifts, hybrid setup.
- Collaborative and fast-paced environment.
