Junior Category Manager

As a Junior Brand Manager, you will be responsible for driving, developing and carrying out a game-changing category strategy in support of Human Nature’s sales and advocacy goals. It is essential that the candidate is able to:
- Understand the business environment, the consumer and the products she is handling in order to catalyze timely, insightful marketing strategy and plans to achieve category business objectives.
- Effectively collaborate with different teams (R&D, supply chain, retail channels, marketing support teams) in effectively implementing the category strategy
Responsibilities:
- Drive the marketing strategy and plans for categories assigned:
- Chart out a cohesive and committed marketing strategy for the category which will help achieve business and advocacy objectives
- Spot opportunities for the category in order to build new business
- Have a good understanding of the consumer and competitive landscape to map out compelling positioning for the category
- Conceptualize and craft insightful marketing briefs for his/her respective category in alignment with the strategy
- Collaborate and bring out the best from internal partners in order to deliver excellent and timely work
- Champion category advocacy
- Ensure truthfulness and integrity of claims, messages
- Measure and assess activities in order to chart success, learn, and recalibrate
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in brand management within the personal care industry or 2 years of relevant experience in fashion, retail, marketing, advertising, or brand communications.
- Has handled launch plans for new products and effectively managed in-line products
- Should be able to assess brand challenges and come up with the right recommendations to address them
- Is able to cast an inspiring vision for how their brand and category will be perceived by the customers, and is able to come up with creative and fresh ideas to build brand love
- Has very strong execution and project management skills, is able to keep all stakeholders aligned and keep the quality of each consumer touchpoint high and aligned with their category vision. They are able to monitor their projects, evaluate quickly, and adapt to ensure success.
- Solutions-driven; is not easily hampered by roadblocks
- Savvy communicator: fluent in oral and written English and can effectively communicate with people of all levels
- Can-do attitude: determined and committed not just to start projects well, but to finish with excellence
- High sense of initiative and self-motivation: passionate about improving your skills, advancing the business, and uplifting the nation in the process!
