System Administrator

Job Description:

• Responsible for system setup and configuration: Responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, servers, and network equipment.
• Responsible for system monitoring and maintenance: Monitor the performance and availability of computer systems, networks, and servers to ensure optimal functioning.
• Do user support: Provides technical support to end-users within the organization.
• Responsible for network administration: Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Responsible for data backup and recovery: Responsible for implementing and managing data backup and recovery solutions.
• Responsible for security and compliance: Ensures the security and compliance of the organization's systems and data.
• Responsible for system upgrades and expansion: This includes researching and evaluating new technologies, recommending hardware and software upgrades, and coordinating with vendors and other IT personnel to ensure smooth transitions.

• Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, or related courses.
• With at least 3-4 years’ fulltime working experience doing Systems Administrator work.
• With experience working with companies with mid to complex infrastructure setup.
• With experience managing team members with at least 3-5 headcount in size.
• With strong foundation in IT infrastructure, including knowledge of operating systems (such as Windows, Linux, or Unix), server technologies (such as Microsoft Active Directory or Apache), network protocols (such as TCP/IP or DNS), virtualization technologies (such as VMware or Hyper-V), and cloud technologies (such as Microsoft Azure).
• Must possess thorough understanding of hardware components, storage systems, and backup solutions.
• With excellent oral and written communication skills.
• With strong time-management skills and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
