About the Role
As an Australian Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for the full charge bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll management, and bank reconciliations. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in the preparation and submission of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) in compliance with Australian tax laws.
Ideal Candidate (must have requirements)- A graduate of any 4-year course related to Accounting/Bookkeeping or Finance (CPA license is a plus)
- With solid Australian full-charge bookkeeping experience
- Experience in preparation of BAS/IAS and FS work papers (ATO lodgment experience is a plus)
- Has handled Xero Accounting software and supplementary tools like Vend, Dext (Receipt Bank), etc. Xero certification is a plus
- Employee work setup will be dependent on the client’s discretion.
- Preparation and lodgment of business activity statements (BAS), instalment activity statements (IAS), and financial statements work papers
- Update and review of the balance sheet and P&L verification
- Management of general ledgers
- Reconciliation of bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Reconciliation of GST and PAYG
- Payroll preparation and super-stream processing
- Create and maintain workflow reports for assigned clients
- Closely collaborate with the clients and the onshore team
