Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To ensure that all permit applications under the National Building Code of the Philippines (NBCP) are processed within the prescribed time.
2. Assist in the enforcement of the revised implementing rules and regulations of the National Building Code of the Philippines as adopted by the PEZA.
3. Initial evaluation of permit application documents as to completeness and compliance to requirements.
4. Endorsement of one (1) set permit documents to the BFP for FSEC/FSIC issuance.
5. Evaluation and assessment of all Electrical Permit applications prior to approval by the Building Official.
6. Evaluation and processing of all permit applications and preparation of corresponding certificates. Permits and certificates shall be signed or initialed.
7. Assessment of permit application fees, penalty and surcharge pursuant to the new schedule of fees and charges of PD 1096.
8. Annual inspection of locators' buildings/facilities to ensure safety and compliance particularly Electrical Installations and other works relative thereto.
9. Inspection of newly installed industrial plants, equipment and the like on safety aspects prior to occupancy or commissioning of the same.
10. Ensure that all plans of Electrical Installations, specifications and other documents are in order and that all changes, modifications, and alterations in the design plans during the construction phase has not started until the evaluation of modified design plan and issuance issuance of necessary amendatory permits.
11. Monitoring of locators' compliance with NBCP permit requirements (P, N & R).
12. To ensure that all approved projects for implementation are completed in accordance with contract/ work order requirements.
13. To ensure that all Zone grounds covered are properly maintained.
14. Assist in pre-construction, construction, repair, maintenance, addition or renovation activities of zone facilities and utilities.
15. Maintenance/upgrading/improvement of zone facilities and utilities (administration bldg., SFBs, Utility Building, guard houses, lightings, etc.) particularly those related to your field of profession (Electrical Engineering) with the following calibrated activities:

1. Regular monitoring/inspection, Preparation of plans and programs of work/estimates of proposed projects, Project implementation supervision.

1. Performs such other functions as may be assigned by EMD Division Chief.
