Assistant Accountant - AP (AU FMCG, WFH)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (07:00 AM to 04:00 PM PHT)
What are we looking for?- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in Accounts Payable or Assistant Accountant role
- ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- FMCG background preferred
- Able to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Knowledge of inventory and landed cost processes is an advantage

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team, primarily focusing on the Accounts Payable function. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payment runs, reconciliations, and supporting month-end finance activities within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform 3-way matching between purchase orders, goods receipts, and supplier invoices
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments
- Prepare weekly and ad hoc payment runs
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding items
- Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with month-end closing activities including accruals and reconciliations
- Support inventory and landed cost related accounting entries
- Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation
- Monitor aged payables and cash flow commitments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes and controls
- Liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries and invoice issues
- Work collaboratively with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure smooth invoice processing
- Provide support to the broader finance team as required
