Finance Officer
The successful candidate will provide high-level support to the Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager, and the wider Finance team, ensuring efficient billing, collections, and financial operations within the School. This role encompasses accurate invoicing, timely receivables management, financial reporting, and compliance, while also contributing to process improvement and the overall effectiveness of the School’s financial management.
Specifically, amongst all other tasks, the Finance Officer will:
- Prepare and issue tuition and fee billings to parents and companies
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Record and manage collections to ensure accuracy and timely bank deposits. Generate and submit the Daily Collection List/Report to the Finance Manager
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate financial records
- Support monthly reporting and reconciliations, book closing and audit requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams on billing and student records
- Assist in improving financial systems and processes
- Assist in the local scholarship committee as assigned by the COO
- Other tasks which may be assigned by the Finance Manager/Assistant Finance Manager from time to time
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant finance/accounting experience in accounts receivables, billing, or collections)
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (experience with Great Plains is an advantage)
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Relevant work experience in a multicultural and/or academic environment is an advantage
Remuneration:
The pay and benefits package in Philippine peso will be tailored based on the candidate’s qualifications.
