About the role
Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for renewable energy projects from pre-construction to commissioning. This role involves developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery, while coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for renewable energy projects from pre-construction to commissioning
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions
- Oversee equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning activities
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, environmental regulations, and industry best practices
- Implement safety programs and conduct regular toolbox meetings and safety audits
- Monitor budget performance, manage cost controls, and ensure project expenses stay within approved limits
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily site logs, progress reports, change orders, and completion records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of construction management experience, with at least 3 years in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, or biomass)
- Proven track record in managing large-scale EPC projects, site supervision, and contractor coordination
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy construction standards, equipment installation, and commissioning processes
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance
- Able to guide multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and commissioning phases with clear direction and alignment
- Professional license/board certification is an advantage (e.g., Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer)
- Additional training or certification in renewable energy technologies is preferred
