General Accounting Associate

This role involves supporting the accounting team in all the tasks related to financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The Associate will contribute to month-end close activities, journal entries, and financial analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Processing and Bookkeeping:

• Process and records all daily transactions related to Accounts Payable, Cost & Inventory, Billing and Collection (e.g., processing of check vouchers, SOA/Billing statement, issuance of OR/Invoice/Acknowledgment Receipt and other related schedules).

Financial Reporting Support:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support the analysis of financial data and preparation of financial reports by preparing all related schedules and analysis.

Month-End Close Activities:

• Participate in month-end close processes, including preparation of adjusting entries and accruals.
• Assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies.
• Support the preparation of financial statements by preparing all related schedules and analysis.

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.

Financial Analysis:

• Assist in financial analysis activities, including variance analysis and trend analysis.
• Provide support in forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, schedules and reports as requested.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard financial data.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information being requested.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and systems and discuss the same with AM-GA for recommendation.
• Assist in implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other F&A sections, such as finance, tax, and operations, on accounting- related matters.
• Provide support and assistance to internal stakeholders on accounting issues. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure alignment and coordination.

Files Organization, Monitoring, and Archiving:

• Ensure Correct and proper filing and organizing of related documents including proper archiving, scanning of documents with standard naming convention per ISO standards, maintenance of soft copy documents and physical library of documents.
