Credit investigator

Job Description

• Undertake ocular inspection/investigation of loan applicant and/or property offered as collateral for loan
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of the value of various assets, including real estate, vehicles, and other property
• Gather and analyze relevant data, such as market trends, comparable sales, and industry standards, to determine accurate appraisal values
• Prepare detailed reports documenting the appraisal and investigation process and findings, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies
• Collaborate with other departments, such as lending and credit, to provide expert insights and recommendations on asset valuation

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and market data
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate, and well- documented appraisal reports
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices in asset/property valuation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in the field of property or asset valuation
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Eng’g/ Mathematics or Real Estate or related field.
• Strong knowledge of loan products, credit analysis, and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and financial analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
