Maintenance and Property Management Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Oversight:

  • Supervise daily maintenance operations including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities, equipment, and systems are in good working condition.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and maintain related records.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and delegate tasks appropriately.

Property Management:

  • Oversee the upkeep of all company properties, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security standards are met.
  • Manage property-related projects (e.g., renovations, upgrades, landscaping).
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
  • Monitor utility usage and implement energy-saving initiatives.

Team Supervision and Coordination:

  • Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure all staff comply with safety standards and company policies.

Vendor and Budget Management:

  • Source and manage third-party contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.
  • Obtain quotations, negotiate contracts, and oversee contractor performance.
  • Monitor and manage the maintenance budget and control inventory of tools and supplies.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, work orders, and property status reports.
  • Prepare and submit regular maintenance and property condition reports to management.

Key Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Property Management, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in maintenance and/or property management, including supervisory experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, health and safety regulations.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to work on-call for emergencies or during weekends if needed.
  • Physically fit and able to oversee on-site maintenance work.
