About the Job

The IT Security Officer is responsible for operating, managing, and maintaining the company's IT security systems while supporting network and infrastructure security initiatives. The role focuses on monitoring security events, managing risks, supporting incident response activities, ensuring compliance with security policies, and collaborating with various business units to strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture.

• Operate, manage, and maintain primary IT security systems and assist in network and infrastructure security solutions.
• Oversee and support IT security services and day-to-day security activities.
• Assist in security audits, assessments, and evidence collection activities.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new IT services and technologies.
• Monitor and triage security alerts, investigate incidents, and reduce false positives.
• Support incident investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery efforts.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure remediation actions are implemented and tracked.
• Collaborate with business units, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure security alignment and effective service delivery.
• Prepare regular security dashboards, reports, and KPI-driven updates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in IT Security Operations, Security Operations Center (SOC), or a related cybersecurity role.
• Previous experience as a Systems Administrator and/or Network Engineer is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, incident response, risk management, and security monitoring.
• Experience with security tools, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability management solutions is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Splunk Certified, Microsoft Security, or CISSP (preferred) are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
