Job Details:
The HR Data, Compensation and Benefits Specialist manages accurate and confidential employee data in the HRIS while administering company-sponsored and statutory benefits such as HMO, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG. The role supports onboarding, conducts benefits orientations, resolves employee inquiries, coordinates with vendors and government agencies, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.It also assists with payroll-related processes and contributes to continuous improvement of compensation and benefits programs to support a positive employee experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of all employee and benefits-related data (HRIS).
- Facilitate new hire onboarding by conducting HRIS and benefits orientation and assisting with timely enrolment in applicable company benefits.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for HRIS, company-sponsored and statutory benefits, including hosting orientation sessions for new programs or changes to existing ones.
- Manage the end-to-end processes for enrolment, renewal, and distribution of HMO, group life insurance, and other applicable wellness or subscription benefits.
- Liaise with third-party vendors, healthcare providers, and government agencies (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) to address employee concerns and process requirements.
- Handle day-to-day HRIS and benefits administration workflow including ticket management, escalations, and employee inquiries with a strong sense of compassion and urgency.
- Build and maintain compassionate partnerships with employees while addressing benefits-related concerns to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Process and submit required documentation to government agencies for new hires, resignations, loans, maternity/sickness claims, and other mandatory reports.
- Administer and monitor statutory benefits such as SSS sickness/maternity, HDMF loans, and PhilHealth claims, ensuring accurate processing for payroll inclusion.
- Prepare and issue certifications of contributions (SSS, HDMF, PhilHealth) as requested by employees or required for processing benefits claims.
- Monitor government regulations, policy updates, and benefits trends to ensure compliance and proper internal application.
- Maintain updated benefit documentation and self-service materials for employees, including FAQs and quick-reference guides.
- Continuously improve policies and practices related to benefits administration in alignment with local employment laws and HR standards.
- Perform tasks related to Payroll processing as a secondary role if necessary
- Perform other ad hoc duties and responsibilities related to HRIS, Compensation and Benefits
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in HR data management, compensation, and benefits administration. Preferably with experience in a BPO or shared services environment
- 2–4 years experience handling statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, HDMF) and HMO/Group Life insurance for 300-500 employees.
- Proficient in HR Information Systems
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, data analysis)
- Knowledgeable with payroll processes, including government-mandated deductions and benefits.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of output
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Knowledge of compensation structures, salary benchmarking, and job leveling
- Knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and data privacy compliance (e.g., DPA)
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Operations) and external vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
