TECHNICAL & OPERATIONAL
The Data Analyst assists with or has direct responsibility for, the effective management of the Mud Logging Unit, including personnel, equipment, supplies and maintenance.
He assists all well site personnel in all well operations areas.
He is in charge of monitoring, recording and processing all well data and parameters.
The Data Analyst closely insures primary well control and, when appropriate, secondary kick control monitoring.
He is in charge of the well data integrity and reliability.
The Data Analyst is in charge of the daily reporting and the End of Well Report.
His target is no “critical equipment” failures due to poor maintenance, misuse or deficient supervision.
Accountable for maintaining and analyzing the volume balance sheet during well site operations.
Complete rig up and down a mudlogging unit, directly involved from planning to execution to ensure readiness as per client requirements.
PERSONNEL, SAFETY, TRAINING, QUALITY ASSURANCE & ENVIRONMENT
The Data Analyst helps build and maintain effective teamwork.
He remains at the well site and continues providing service if relief personnel are unavailable or delayed.
The Data Analyst must share experience and knowledge with less experienced colleagues.
The Data Analyst supervises Mud loggers, Sample Catchers (when required).
He must implement the safety regulations and procedures, as specified by the Client, Geoservices, relevant safety authorities and respect safety regulations such as the Corporate Safety Policy.
He must ensure that all crew have and use all necessary Personnel Protective Equipment (safety boots, gloves, hardhat, etc.).
The Data Analyst should implement the requirements of the Geoservices Quality Assurance system to provide the best service in order to meet and/or maintain client satisfaction.
They should actively promote Geoservices as a “Quality” company and apply Corporate Environmental Policy to their activities as well as being familiar with the environmental regulations and procedures, specified by the Client, Geoservices and environmental authorities.
Lead the entire mudlogging team to work along the HSE and Service Quality objectives set by the client on the wellsite.
COMMERCIAL
The Data Analyst ensures the highest standard of professional conduct at the well site.
All enquiries for more/improved services should be communicated to the Line Manager.
They are required to ensure that all potential problems are discussed with the senior base personnel, before any discussion with the Client; this can include any problems involving contracted equipment, services or personnel.
The Data Analyst keeps the confidentiality of the Client’s well data, which should not be released to anyone without written approval from the Client.
Qualifications/Requirements- Successfully Completed Data Analyst Course (ALS2 & ALS3 or GNXT II) including gas Systems (FID, GFF, RESERVAL).
- Successfully completed BOSIET Training
- IWCF Drillers Level Certification (optional and based on client’s request).
- English: Qualified Level, based on GeoCap levels of proficiency (corresponds to TOEFL independent user - benchmark level).
