Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Work Hours: 8:00 to 5:00 Mon-Fri
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process outgoing payments in accordance with company financial policies and procedures
  • Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledgers to ensure all invoices and payments are accurately recorded
  • Review vendor accounts and monthly statements to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of expense accounts and cost centers
  • Monitor and track unliquidated cash advances
  • Record and process cash advance liquidations
  • Process payments related to corporate credit cards
  • Replenish revolving funds as needed
  • Monitor and review weekly Daily Collection Reports (DCR) for assigned branches
  • Perform bank reconciliations and other accounting tasks as required

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of relevant accounting or finance experience preferred
  • Preferably 1–4 years of experience in General Accounting, Cost Accounting, or Finance
  • Experience in the INSURANCE industry is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
