About the role
Dermesse Inc. is seeking a Production Planning & Inventory Control Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the production planning and inventory control processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
What you'll be doing- Develop and implement effective production plans to meet customer demand and sales forecasts
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to minimize costs while maintaining adequate stock to fulfil orders
- Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Analyze production and inventory data to generate insightful reports and make data-driven decisions
- Liaise with the sales, procurement and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment across the supply chain.
- Train and mentor staff of the production planning and inventory control team
- Ensure compliance with all relevant production, quality and inventory control policies and procedures
- Proven experience as a Production Planning & Inventory Control Supervisor or similar role in the manufacturing industry
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Production Planning & Inventory Control Supervisor or similar role is required
- Strong working knowledge of production planning, inventory management and control principles
- Proficient in using production planning and inventory control software, such as ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify optimization opportunities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any related field
