JOB TITLE : CLUSTER HEAD
ORGANIZATIONAL SCOPE
Department / Section : SalesReports to : Area Sales Manager
Supervises : Store Head
BASIC PURPOSE
The Sales Cluster Head is responsible for overseeing 4–5 stores within an assigned cluster, ensuring
consistent execution of sales strategies, operational standards, merchandising excellence, and people
development across all handled locations.
Stores within the cluster report directly to the Cluster Head. The Cluster Head consolidates store
performance, recommends action plans, and submits proposals to the Area Sales Manager (ASM), who
serves as the final decision authority.
This role acts as the critical link between store operations and area leadership, driving performance,accountability, and alignment with company goals.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY RESULTS AREA (KRA) MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
1 Sales Performance
Management- Drive cluster-wide sales growth and achievement of targets
- Analyze store performance trends and identify opportunities
- Develop and recommend action plans to improve productivity
- Monitor KPIs and enforce accountability across stores
- Lead execution of sales campaigns and commercial initiatives
2 Operational Excellence • Ensure strict compliance with operational policies and
procedures- Maintain consistency in store execution and customer experience
- Conduct regular store audits and performance reviews
- Resolve operational issues escalated by Store Heads
- Promote discipline in inventory, loss prevention, and cash
- Inform Store Head of merchandise that needs to be re-ordered /
pulled out.
3 Merchandising & Brand
Standards- Ensure visual merchandising standards are aligned across stores
- Monitor product availability, stock levels, and replenishment
- Coordinate with merchandising and supply chain teams
- Support store teams in executing brand guidelines
4 People Management &
Development- Directly supervise and coach Store Heads
- Identify training needs and develop succession pipelines
- Reinforce performance management and accountability culture
- Promote employee engagement and retention
- Lead cluster meetings and performance alignment sessions
5 Reporting & Strategic
Recommendations- Consolidate cluster reports and performance summaries
- Present insights and proposals to ASM
- Provide data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Track implementation of approved action plans
6 Cross-Functional
Coordination- Liaise with HR, Training, Finance, Logistics, and Merchandising
- Ensure timely resolution of support-related issues
- Align cluster execution with company-wide initiatives
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Attainment : College GraduateWork Experience : Minimum 3-4 years of retail management experience
At least 2 years as Store Head (for internal hiring)
Skills and Abilities : Good communication skills both oral and written
Good in numbers
Physically fit
Must be computer literate
Knowledge in Microsoft Excel
