Auto mechanic

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Has at least 2 to 3 years working experience as an auto mechanic.
• At least high school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with all types of vehicles. Knowledge in European cars is an advantage but not a must.
• Knowledgeable with the latest technologies (Scanner/Automotive Tools).
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to follow complex instructions with minimal supervision and can work independently.
• Valid driver's license (if applicable).
• Willing to work from Monday to Saturday or holidays as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize diagnostic tools and procedures to accurately identify and pinpoint mechanical issues.
• Perform repairs on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, etc.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and identify the root cause of problems.
• Perform overhaul assessment and preventive maintenance services.
• Perform under chassis inspection and repair.
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Repairing and replacing equipment and parts.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems.
• Maintaining good knowledge of various testing equipment.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts for the repair.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean.
• Notifies supervisor immediately if anything happened that changed the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Helps keep repair shop clean and organized.
• Keep a professional appearance all the time.
• Other tasks that may be assigned.
