Project controls specialist (scheduler / planner)

GSL Group and Partners Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler / Planner) to support planning, scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and control of construction projects involving multi-disciplinary coordination, manpower loading, productivity tracking, procurement interface, and project execution monitoring.

The successful candidate shall play a critical role in ensuring proper planning, monitoring, and execution of project schedules while coordinating closely with Project Management, Site Operations, Procurement, QA/QC, HSSE, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.

• Prepare, develop, update, and maintain Project Master Schedules in accordance with approved construction methodologies and milestones.
• Monitor and update project progress periodically in line with Project Controls and Reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, QA/QC, HSSE, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal departments regarding project schedules and constraints.
• Analyze project delays, productivity impacts, resource constraints, and critical activities affecting project completion.
• Prepare schedule recovery programs, acceleration plans, mitigation strategies, and what-if scenarios.
• Monitor manpower loading, equipment deployment, productivity performance, and work progress against approved targets.
• Coordinate schedule integration between Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEPFS, Procurement, Logistics, and HSSE activities.
• Prepare Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports, S-Curves, Executive Reports, Look-Ahead Schedules, Delay Analysis Reports, and other planning deliverables.
• Participate in coordination meetings with management, clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Support documentation and tracking of approved variations, schedule revisions, baseline updates, and change management requirements.
• Assist in development and implementation of Project Controls systems, dashboards, templates, and reporting standards.
• Perform other project planning and controls duties as may be assigned by Management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5–10 years relevant experience in Project Planning / Scheduling for construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience in project management and planning software such as but not limited to Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Excel, and other related scheduling, monitoring, and reporting tools.
• Ability to prepare baseline schedules, recovery schedules, manpower histograms, S-Curves, and progress analytics.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methodology (CPM), delay analysis, productivity monitoring, and change management implementation.
• Excellent communication, analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities within fast-paced construction environments.

• Experience in high-rise building projects and multi-contractor project environments.
• Experience in preparation of executive dashboards, progress presentations, and delay analysis documentation.
• Knowledge in cost loading, earned value analysis, and project performance monitoring is an advantage.
• Willing to work on project site assignments as required by Management.
