Senior PV Design Engineer

- Conducts PV Syst simulation, Energy Yield Assessment (EYA), Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) and technical due diligence to ensure Project viability and compliance to local and international standards.
- Prepares conceptual and detailed design drawings of PV Plant not limited to the following: 1. electrical single line diagrams; 2. PV array layout; 3. Mounting structures; 4. Inverter layouts; 5. Grounding grid layout; 6. Lightning Protection layout; and 7. Equipment sizing and specifications, all in accordance with international standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, & NESC) and local practices (e.g. PGC, PDC, PECs 1 & 2).
- Responsible for the preparation of comprehensive technical tender documents and for conducting technical bid evaluations to support supplier and subcontractor selection.
- Ensure and coordinate the Project’s compliance with VRE requirements, specifically for the PV segment of the plant.
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders through oral and written communication to monitor project progress, assess technical compliance of designs, address emerging issues, and propose viable solutions throughout the design phase.
- Conducts site surveys and desktop study in prospective PV solar farms projects, determines the usable and non-usable lands and subsequently prepares the technical reports, risk assessments, and technical recommendations for the conduct of project feasibility studies.
- Witnesses’ factory acceptance tests of substation equipment as selected by the company.
- Provides site support during project construction as well as testing and commissioning as required by the company.
