Prepare Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Conduct and document orientations for all new workers on site
Ensure all aspects of the company safety program have been implemented as required
Report all hazards to the Project Supervisor and if possible, eliminate the hazard immediately
Conduct and document a minimum of 1 daily site inspection and follow up on these inspections to ensure that any corrective action required has been completed
Ensure that daily toolbox talks are conducted and documented by each trade
Arrange daily toolbox meeting
Assist Project Supervisor(s) in accident investigation, analysis and preparation of accident reports and summaries
Implement and post a site safety plan

Qualifications/Requirements

SO1:

a minimum of 2 years experience as Safety Officer.
has an OSH Certificate of training for SO1.
has a mandatory 8 Hours training and 2 hours Training of trainer's.

SO2:

A minimum of 3 years experience as Safety officer.

-has acquired a 40 hour basic OSH training course applicable to the industry-BOSH/COSH.

Has acquired a 48 hour additional or specialized OSH training course relevant to the industry.
Has other Specialized training course as prescribed by the standard.

SO3:

a minimum od 5 years experience as safety Officer.

-has acquired a 40hour Basic OSH Training course applicable to the Industry-BOSH/COSH.

has acquired a 48 hour additional or specialized OSH training course relevant to the Industry.
has other specialized training course as prescribed by the standard.
