QA/QC Engineer
About the role
As a QA/QC Engineer with JFE Engineering Corp. Philippine Branch, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our construction projects in the Metro Manila Priority Bridges Seismic Improvement project. Working on a contract basis, you will be responsible for implementing robust quality control measures and overseeing the adherence to safety and regulatory standards throughout the construction lifecycle.
What you'll be doing- Develop detailed inspection/testing schedules
- Oversee and coordinate all on-site activities, including material inspection
- Finding material sources and inspection up to approval by client
- Inspection of delivered construction materials, and ensuring their compliance with industry standards/project requirements
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with client
- Prepare inspection record based on QA/QC plan
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer in the construction industry
- Thorough understanding of construction quality control principles, cost estimation, testing methods, and industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Familiarity with relevant construction and safety regulations in the Philippines
