JOB TITLE: Assistant Farm Manager

JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Breeder Farm Senior Supervisor (Assistant Farm Manager) is responsible for assisting the Farm Manager in supervising, directing and managing the operation of the breeder and nursery farms to achieve the targeted production efficiency and cost of production.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist the Farm Manager to manage and oversee the swine production process and farm operations in order to achieve the targeted production performance.
2. Recommends and implements enhancements to existing processes and activities.
3. Help ensure appropriate Inventory management system is in place, correct inventory level is maintained and variances are within acceptable threshold.
4. Help ensure the appropriate data processing system is in place and accuracy of recorded data, information and reports generated is maintained.
5. Collaborates with other concerned teams to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the farm facilities.
6. Ensures that appropriate bio-security protocol is in place, implemented and complied and collaborates with concerned teams for the implementation of physical security.
7. Monitors, evaluates and provides feedback on the performance of the third-party manpower provider to ensure it's within agreed service level commitment.
8. Prepares a sound budget proposal and implements approved budget, ensuring proper cost management.

1. Responds to farm-related community concerns by recommending and executing appropriate actions to address the concern.

1. Supervises, monitors and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
2. Builds IDP and provides intervention for the development and growth of direct reports

1. Appointed membership to committees whenever necessary.
2. Manages the expansion projects and improvements of the farm as may be assigned.
3. Performs other work-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Food Safety:

1. Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
2. Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
2. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Team Leader.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be a graduate of any of the following courses: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (licensed) ; Bachelor of Science in Agriculture – Major in Animal Science; Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry; or Agri-related courses

• At least five (5) years supervisory experience in a 2,000 sow or more level swine farm.

• Thorough knowledge of all phases of the swine production process
• Thorough knowledge of farm operations
• Very good communication skills (verbal and written)

Willing to work in a Stay-in 26-4 work set up.
