ACCOUNTING OFFICER

About the role

As an Accounting Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role is essential to our continued success and growth in the entertainment industry.

• Recording and processing daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, cash accounts and subsidiary ledgers on a monthly basis
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation for management review and external audit purposes
• Maintaining accurate and organized financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Processing invoice payments, expense reimbursements and payroll support activities
• Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies to ensure accuracy
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures and financial consolidations
• Supporting tax compliance activities and the preparation of required tax documentation
• Communicating with internal departments and external vendors regarding financial matters
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information and adhering to internal controls

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting roles
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and data entry
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with entertainment or media industry accounting practices is a plus.
