About the Position:
The Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing multiple audit engagements for our client, a reputable CPA firm based in the United States. This role provides leadership and direction to audit teams, ensuring audits are planned and executed in accordance with U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and, where applicable, PCAOB standards.The Audit Supervisor plays a critical role in client relationship management, quality control, risk assessment, and staff development. The position ensures that engagements are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with the firm's professional standards and client expectations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Audit Manager in planning, executing, and completing audit engagements across various industries.
- Assess audit areas, identify key risks, and develop appropriate audit procedures.
- Monitor engagement progress, timelines, budgets, and deliverables; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Review workpapers and audit documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm methodology.
- Apply and maintain knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards in audit engagements.
- Review audit sections for technical accuracy and assist in resolving accounting and reporting issues.
- Supervise, coach, and provide performance feedback to senior auditors, associates, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment and assist in onboarding new team members.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and internal teams, responding promptly to inquiries.
- Participate in client meetings, walkthroughs, and status updates while adapting to client-specific systems and processes.
- Manage multiple engagements, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables within budget.
- Identify engagement risks, recommend process improvements, and support continuous quality enhancement.
- Participate in training, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant role
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
- Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles; knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), and/or Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Written and verbal English communication and comprehension
- Ability to utilize advanced Excel tools, including Pivot Tables, VLookup
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Amenable to work in a Hybrid set-up
- Willing to work the night shift
