QA / QC ENGINEER (MEPF)

Job Overview:

A QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and proper execution of MEPF systems in construction projects.

They develop and implement quality control plans, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Compliance (30%)

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and checklists for MEPH works.
• Ensure all installations, materials, and methods comply with project specifications, local codes, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, NEC).
• Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals for compliance.

1. Inspection & Testing (25%)

• Conduct site inspections, material verification, and quality checks for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Perform testing and commissioning of MEPH systems (e.g., pressure tests, electrical load tests, air balancing).
• Identify deficiencies and non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

1. Documentation & Reporting (15%)

• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and testing certificates.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports to project managers.
• Ensure all QA/QC documentation is updated and aligned with project progress.

1. Coordination & Site Supervision (15%)

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure quality compliance.
• Attend progress meetings and provide technical support related to MEPH quality issues.
• Support the project team in resolving site issues and implementing corrective measures.

1. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement (10%)

• Identify potential risks and deviations in MEPH work execution.
• Implement preventive measures and quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct trainings and workshops to enhance quality awareness among site personnel.

1. Safety & Compliance Support (5%)

• Ensure MEPH works align with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
• Report any safety violations related to MEPH installations.
• Support safety audits and compliance checks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in QA/QC for MEPH systems in construction projects.
• Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001, ASHRAE, NFPA, LEED, or PMP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and international MEPH codes.
• Strong skills in problem-solving, reporting, and quality inspections.
